Large section and small chip missing from the rim

Approach

After extensive testing in order to achieve the correct colour and translucency epoxy resin was cast into silicone rubber molds taken from a perfect sections of the rim. Once cured the casting funnels were removed and this area was polished using micro mesh polishing cloths.
